Grampian Concert Orchestra was formed in 1998 by Dave Holman, a former University of Aberdeen student. Frustrated by being unable to obtain a place in the University Orchestra at that time, he decided to create his own chamber orchestra, which developed after he left into a mainstay of the community music scene in the Grampian area.
It now performs about three concerts a year in the local area, and tours to venues in the UK and Europe every few years.
